Overnight she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity. Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate the television show and find true love, all without mussing her hair?

BROADWAY: HAIRSPRAY received 13 Tony Award nominations and won 8 awards, including Best Musical. The production ran for more than six years and 2,642 performances, closing on January 4, 2009. WEST END: The London production of HAIRSPRAY opened at the Shaftesbury Theatre on October 30, 2007. It was nominated for a record-setting 11 Laurence Olivier Awards and won 4, including Best New Musical. The show closed on March 28, 2010 after a run of nearly two-and-a-half years and over 1,000 performances. AUSTRALIA: The Australian production opened at the Princess Theatre Melbourne on October 2, 2010 and toured to Sydney’s Lyric Theatre in 2011. THE FILM: In 2007, HAIRSPRAY was adapted for a musical film starring John Travolta, Michelle Pfeiffer, James Marsden, Queen Latifah and Disney High School Musical’s Zac Efron.
